Beyond My Skin is an interactive installation presented in the form of a live performance that explores themes of identity and digital inclusion. The project creates a phygital space where two performers can experience a new form of self-awareness and representation outside of traditional binary and societal portrayals (avatars). Translated movements generate hybrid digital bodies through interactions, creating a new collective consciousness of where our bodies begin and end. The performers explore the hybrid relationship between bodies and their digital representation in real-time, investigating something as physical as the feeling of "touch" and its meaning in the digital realm. Is it possible to be physically apart but touch each other digitally? And how would this affect our physical bodies?
